WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, September 12, 2019:

#1) Classical Music Concert At Wilmington Library

The Stephen Bates Quartet will perform an eclectic program of classical music at 7pm at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue). They will feature works by the three Bs — Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms — as well as pieces by 20th-21st century composers Astor Piazzolla, Bela Bartok, and Armando Ghidoni. The ensemble members are Chester Brezniak, and Julie Stuckenschneider, Bb clarinet; and Stephen Bates and Karen Luttik, bass clarinet.  These highly regarded musicians and teachers have performed in orchestras and chamber groups around the globe. #2) WHS Football Team Fundraiser At Woburn’s Jack ‘n Joes

Looking for an excuse to eat out? The Wilmington High School Football program is holding a fundraiser at Jake n Joes Bar & Grille (230 Mishawum Road) in Woburn from noon to 11pm. Visit for lunch, dinner, drinks or take-out and let your server or phone representative know that you’re participating in the fundraiser and to FLAG YOUR CHECK. When paying your bill, double check that the word “FUNDRAISER” is noted on the bill to insure your check is being included with the fundraiser. 20% of your bill will be donated to the WHS Football program.

#3) Shawsheen Tech Swimming Lessons Registration

Shawsheen Tech will be holding registration for their upcoming Fall Learn to Swim Program from 2:30pm to 4pm, at the school’s pool entrance.Lessons run from Saturday, September 28, 2019 to Saturday, November 23, 2019, with no classes on Columbus Day weekend. Class times are staggered between 9am and 1pm. EIGHT 30-minute lessons for beginning swimmers cost $88. #4) Tour Of Wilmington Town Museum

The Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open from 10am to 2pm. Come explore Wilmington’s history. Free admission.

#5) Mass GOP Fundraiser In Tewksbury

 The Massachusetts Republican Party is holding a reception and fundraiser featuring State GOP Chairman Jim Lyons from 6pm to 8pm at the Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club (79 Chandler Street, Tewksbury). Wilmington Republicans are invited to attend.
