WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, September 3, 2019:
- A caller reported a possibly deceased large black dog on Woburn Street. Animal Control Officer responded. (7:50am)
- Police notified DPW of large broken tree branch hanging over roadway on Aldrich Road. Police closed portion of road while Tree Department took down branch. (9:11am)
- Police conducted traffic enforcement and monitored pickups are various schools. (1:39pm)
- Police notified Water Department of water main break on Nunn Road. Sinkhole reported and road severely buckling. Water main was shut down for entire neighborhood as Water Department responded for repairs. (3:15pm)
- A reporter reported a suspicious van in the area of Elm Street. Two males were soliciting new jobs for paving highways. Caller referenced a post from a Wilmington Facebook group stated that it may be a scam. Males left the area prior to police arrival. Police were unable to locate. (3:52pm)
- Police noted a large amount of trash at Skate Park and some of the equipment appears to have been recently tagged. (7:41pm)
