OBITUARY: Deborah A. Clark, 66

WILMINGTON, MA — Deborah A. Clark, age 66, of Wilmington, formerly of Malden, died Thursday, September 5 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Melrose on December 2, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Lorraine M. (Surette) Coombs.

Deborah was raised in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1970. She was recruited out of high school for the FBI and spent six years there, only leaving to start her family. She and her high school sweetheart, Kevin Clark, were married in 1972 and raised their family in Malden, where they resided for 38 years. Deborah had spent her entire working career in the non-profit field. She loved to travel with her husband, visiting National Parks among many other destinations. She also loved going to concerts and had met a tremendous amount of rock stars throughout her life, leading to many interesting stories, including once giving someone a ride home. She was also a very special gust of many casinos. Above all things, Deborah’s grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was the beloved wife of Kevin P. Clark. She was the loving mother Amy Duffy and her husband William C. Duffy III of Tewksbury and Matthew O. Clark and his wife Samantha of Saugus. Deborah was the adoring grandmother of William C. Duffy IV, Clark Duffy and Olivia and Amelia Clark. She was the loving sister of Sandra Cass and her her husband Richard of Wakefield, Charles Coombs of Mashpee and the late Michael Coombs.

Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday from 3-6pm.
