WILMINGTON, MA — In recognition of 9/11 Day, the Wilmington High School Local Heroes Club is holding a “Dining For A Cause” fundraiser at the Ninety Nine Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 4pm to 11pm.
15% of your bill will be donated to the club’s efforts if you present the flyer below to your server/host. The donation applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders. No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser.
The WHS Local Heroes Club “works with veterans by uplifting their spirits and letting them know they are not forgotten.” Club members also make their fellow students aware of the sacrifices veterans have made to keep the country safe and free. The Club sends letters and gift bags to veterans, marches in parades, visits veterans hospitals, and maintains the school’s Veterans Pictorial Display to express gratitude and appreciation to veterans.
9/11 Day is the nation’s largest annual Day of Service, recognized and established under federal law. Last year, more than 40 million Americans spent time on 9/11 helping others through good deeds, including more than one million students of all ages.
