IMPORTANT NOTICE: Wilmington Flea Market POSTPONED To October 19
Mother nature has forced the postponement of the Annual Flea Market organized by the Wilmington Sons of Italy and Wilmington High School Band Parents Association.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2019, the event has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 8am to 3pm, in the Town Common Parking Lot, next to the Fourth of July Building. Learn more HERE.
#1) Town Yardwaste Center Open
The Town’s Yardwaste Center is open from 9am to 4pm. Residents need to purchase a punch-card for $15 in order to enter the yardwaste center. Punch-cards are available for purchase through the Collector’s Office at Town Hall and will allow up to 5 vehicle trips to the Yardwaste Center per card. NO GRASS CLIPPINGS OR STUMPS ARE ACCEPTED. Commercial vehicles are not allowed. Make sure to bring photo identification to show you are a Wilmington resident.
#2) State Rep. Ken Gordon’s Office Hours At As Good As It Gets
State Representative Ken Gordon (D-Bedford), who represents Precinct 3 in Wilmington as well as all of Burlington and Bedford, will host office hours from noon to 1pm at As Good As It Gets (35 Lowell Street) in Wilmington. Gordon will be available to answer questions and to listen to concerns and ideas from constituents of the district. #3) Fiction Critique Group At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a meeting of its Fiction Critique Group at 9:15am. Love writing fiction? Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. #4) SAT Practice Test At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a SAT Practice Test for students in Grades 10-12 at 12:30pm. Practice the SAT for free! Students take the entire 3 hour and 50 minute test allowing an extra 25 minutes for breaks, and then receive their results courtesy of The Princeton Review.
