Zodiac Cross Stitch Craft *RR

Weave the stars together with this zodiac cross-stitch craft! Create your own zodiac sign in a 3” hoop. Whether you’re new to cross-stitching, or a long time sewing master, you’ll love this easy to do unique craft!Led by avid crafter and needle worker, Nancy Kirwin. All supplies included. How to Apply Makeup *RR

Presenter Amy Hahn, who is a professional makeup artist, takes the mystery out of makeup! She will review the basics principles of applying makeup and, using a model from the audience, will demonstrate the correct application techniques. Amy is happy to answer any questions about your makeup products so feel free to bring them. Amy will also supply some makeup samples; mirrors will be provided. Sign up at the main desk. Coffee with a Cop
Wednesday, July 17, 10 am
Drop in, grab a tea or coffee, and chat with a police officer. Learn about the rights of the public as well as the roles and responsibilities of police and community in a relaxed and open setting. All questions welcome.
Current Affairs Discussion Group*RR

This new group is for all who would like to broaden their knowledge of current national and international affairs. You will have the opportunity to discuss topical events and learn from others. Recommended background readings will be provided prior to each meeting. Led by facilitator Dan Hall.

Author Talk: Andre Dubus III *RR

Andre Dubus III, the author of seven books including three New York Times bestsellers will visit the library to talk about his most recent book Gone So Long. This novel is a compelling story of a father trying to connect with a daughter whom he has not seen since he murdered her mother forty years ago. An Andre Dubus III novel is a slow burn — never so searing that you can’t turn the page, but incrementally hotter each time you do. Mr. Dubus has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, The National Magazine Award for Fiction, Two Pushcart Prizes, and an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature.
