WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Saturday, July 6, 2019:
#1) Pancake Breakfast To Benefit Wilmington Minutemen
The Wilmington Minutemen are holding a pancake breakfast from 7am to 11am on the Town Common. Tickets cost $5. Pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk, and coffee are on the menu.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The rest of Saturday’s Fun on the Fourth schedule has been POSTPONED to Sunday due to the rainy forecast. The carnival will be open on Sunday from 1pm to 10pm. The BBQ Chicken Dinner on the Town Common benefiting Pack 56 Cub Scouts will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday. The Concert and Spectacular Fireworks have also been moved to Sunday night, with the fireworks scheduled for 9:30pm.
#2) Fiction Critique Group At Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the monthly meeting of its Fiction Critique Group at 9:15am. Love writing fiction? Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. #3) Tech Buddies Drop-In At Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Tech Buddies Drop-In from 10am to 11am. Need technology help, but Brad isn’t here? Drop in at a Tech Buddies session! Tech Buddies is a new volunteer program connecting teens and members of the Wilmington community in need of assistance navigating their phones, tablets, cameras, and the Cloud.
#4) Book Store Next Door Open
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
#5) Town Beach Open
The Town Beach is open today. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 8pm. Admission is FREE for residents. Proof of residency is required. Learn more HERE.
