Bertha, family and friends enjoyed many hours of fun and relaxation at her pool. Bertha looked forward to family vacations and holidays; everyone always had a great time and made many memories to share for years to come.
Bertha was very active in her community; she was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, the past President of the Wilmington Garden Club and member of the Friends of the Wilmington Public Library where she volunteered at the Book Store. Bertha was very active in the A.I.M. (Access is Mandatory) Group; volunteering countless hours every week to help others in need. She also enjoyed the many activities and trips she participated in at the Wilmington Senior Center and was part of the Quilting group as well as the Fun Singers.
Bertha will be fondly remembered as a lovely lady; she unselfishly gave of her time and talents and was always out and about doing for others. Bertha’s personality was warm and welcoming; she had a great smile and made others feel like family when they were around her. Bertha loved her family and friends unconditionally and looked forward to getting together with them as often as she could. She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
