WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, June 2, 2019:
#1) Wilmington High School Graduation
The WHS Class of 2019’s Graduation Ceremony begins at 1pm in the High School Gym. Wilmington Community Television will live-stream the event HERE.
#2) Request A Mosquito Spraying This Month
Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project will begin accepting requests to spray for adult, flying mosquitoes on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Any requests submitted before that time by phone or email will not be databased and will have to be resubmitted into our online request form that will be available May 28. Check the “Service Request” button to the right on the homepage after that date.
Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will be in Wilmington to respond to residents’ concerns about mosquitoes in their area on June 5, June 6, June 12, June 13, June 19, June 20, June 26, and June 27. Dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity and/or special event spraying.
Mosquito spraying is only done when certain criteria have been met; mosquitoes are active at that time, temperatures are above 55oF and winds are less than 10mph. If any of these conditions are not present at the time of the application then the service request will be rescheduled to a later date.
#3) Registration Open For Brady’s Foundation 5K
Brady’s Foundation is holding its 3rd Annual 5K Run For Recovery /Walk For Wellness next Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Wilmington Town Common. In-person registration begins at 9am. The race starts at 10:30am. Event details and online registration can be found HERE.
#4) Middlesex Canal Museum Open
The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
