WHS GIRLS TENNIS: Wildcats Defeat Stoneham & Wakefield On Back-To-Back Days

WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team defeated Stoneham High, 5-0, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Stoneham

• Wilmington senior Emily Hill defeated Sophia Perillo, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington junior Carolyn Roney defeated Alexa Derifo, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington senior Lia Kourkoutas defeated Tara Harte, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington senior Jessica D’Arco and sophomore Lauren D’Arco defeated Brynn Gespelle and Marjane McAllister, 6-2, 6-2.
• Wilmington sophomore Vidhi Shah and Jess Muray defeated Maddy Wert and Bridget Tracy, 6-3, 6-3.

The WHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team then went on to defeat Wakefield High, 4-1, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Wilmington.

• Wilmington senior Emily Hill defeated Erica Pecjo, 6-0, 6-1.
• Wilmington junior Carolyn Roney defeated Hannah Guay, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington senior Lia Kourkoutas defeated Kelley Hourina, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington senior Jessica D’Arco and sophomore Lauren D’Arco defeated Effie Kathas and Mansa Ogier, 6-0, 6-0.
• Wilmington sophomore Vidhi Shah and sophomore Johanna Robinson were defeated by Haley Ogler and Panagiota Katabis, 7-5, 7-1.
