WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, May 19, 2019:
#1) Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge Kids Bike Ride
The 14th Annual Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge Kids Bike Ride is hoping to raise $18,000 this year to help fight cancer. Over the past 13 years, the Bike Ride has raised more than $170,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
Children from preschool through 6th grade can ride their bikes on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 8am to noon, beginning at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center on Carter Lane.
Each rider must pay a $15 registration fee and meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $30 (suggested is $40). Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers! 100% of proceeds are donated to the Pan-Mass Challenge organization.
Face painting, music and refreshments throughout the day.

#2) Boy Scout Troop 126’s Car Wash
Boy Scout Troop 126 of Wilmington is holding a Car Wash this Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 10am to 2pm, in the Fourth of July Building Parking Lot (142 Middlesex Avenue).
A $5 donation is suggested for each car wash.
#3) Mary Jo Brown Foundation’s Wine Tasting
The Wilmington-based Mary Jo Brown Foundation is holding its 2nd Annual Spring Wine Tasting on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 1pm to 3pm, at Total Wines in Everett (11 Mystic View Road).
Join the Foundation for a “Tour de France!” Travel through the most famous French appellations. Taste Grand Cru Champagne before sampling two stunning and food-friendly whites from the Loire Valley and Provence—followed by FIVE elegant reds! Light snacks will be served. There will be lovely door prizes from William Sonoma and KEEP collective jewelry.
Tickets cost $25. Space is limited. Mail your check, payable to “Mary Jo Brown Foundation,” to Christina Brown 34 Concord Street, Wilmington, MA 01887. Spot is guaranteed with payment.
#4) Middlesex Canal Museum Open
The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
