TEWKSBURY, MA — Below is a recent announcement from The Power of Flowers Project, a Tewksbury-based non-profit with many Wilmington volunteers and recipients.
We here at the Power of Flowers Project would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Annie Selke. During the month of March, Annie Selke donated $5.00 to the Power of Flowers Project for every order that was placed on annieselke.com, up to a maximum of $25,000.
We are so very pleased to announce that we have received a check in the amount of $25,000 from this most generous retailer.
This wonderful gift will help the Power of Flowers Project continue to produce signature bouquets and deliver them free of charge to many care communities in and around the Merrimack Valley.
Although the Power of Flowers Project functions primarily on volunteer power, we have the same operating expenses as big budget organizations. We pay rent, turn on the lights, use phones and computers, and buy supplies. But, because our Board of Directors are careful budget-makers, we are a good philanthropic investment.
Thanks also to the people who placed orders with Annie Selke during March. We are proud to be associated with such high-quality personal and home items.
