WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Animal Control Officer Christopher Sullivan recently posted the following reminders to residents on social media:
1. It’s May 1, which means dogs are not allowed anywhere on Silver Lake beach or grass areas adjacent to the beach on Grove Avenue and Main Street.
2. If you have yet to do so, please register your dog(s) with the town through the Town Clerk’s Office.
3. Please remember there is a leash law in town and please abide by it.
4. Please pick up after your dog.
5. Lastly, I have been working on keeping the geese off of the fields in Wilmington. Please do not feed them. This is especially prevalent at Rotary Park. Feeding them can make them sick and will encourage them them to stay in the area.
As always, feel free to contact me at the station at 978-658-7988 x 5400 or via email at csullivan@wpd.org.
