5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Monday, May 6, 2019

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Monday, May 6, 2019:

#1) Aerial Photography Exhibit & Reception 

You have seen and taken pictures of our favorite places in Wilmington. But have you seen that same view from above? Joe Turner Photography will show you views of our town from the treetop level.

Turner’s photography will be on display in the Wilmington Memorial Library’s second-floor Meeting Room during the month of May for public viewing.

Turner will hold a public reception with light refreshments on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 7pm. Step back in time and view a comparison of iconic Wilmington buildings and places alongside historic pictures of the same familiar sites. All are welcome.

#2) Explore The Quabbin Reservoir

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding an afternoon lecture at 2:30pm. How much do you know about the Quabbin Reservoir? Nancy Huntington, from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will discuss its history, its construction and how it is managed. Register HERE.

#3) Wilmington Community Playgroup 

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Community Playgroup at 9:30am. Drop in for a fun playgroup led by the CTI Family Resource Network. Ages 2-5.

#4) Tech Buddies Drop-In

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Tech Buddies Drop-In Session from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Need technology help, but Brad isn’t here? Drop in at a Tech Buddies session! Tech Buddies is a new volunteer program connecting teens and members of the Wilmington community in need of assistance navigating their phones, tablets, cameras, and the Cloud.

#5) Watercolor Class At Senior Center

The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding a Watercolor Class from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. This Watercolor class is to learn the basics of mixing colors and handling the watercolor medium. Beginners and intermediate are welcome to join this class where creation is about keeping it simple. Advanced students are also welcome to work on their own project under the teacher’s guidance, as needed. It will be fun and relaxing. Space is limited— sign up at the Front Desk. You will receive the list of supplies needed.
