POLICE LOG for April 26: Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested After Chase; ID & Cash Stolen At TJ Maxx

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 26, 2019:

  • Police stopped a vehicle for driving around in the Wildwood Cemetery. Operator stated she was visiting a gravesite. Checked OK. (3:24am)
  • A tractor trailer from True Ice Logistics clipped the Union Office Interiors building on Andover Street. Truck left prior to police arrival. Truck was located at Market Basket warehouse. Driver exchanged paperwork. (7:17am)
  • A Lloyd Road caller reported a tree company was blocking his driveway. He asked the company to move 20 minutes ago so he could leave for work and they haven’t done so. Police responded and work was shut down for the day. Police advised crew and supervisor they must notify residents and get a detail before bringing in a crane to do work. (8:39am)
  • A caller reported her ID and cash were taken from her purse while shopping at TJ Maxx on April 22. (10:46am)
  • Sean Michael Manuel (25, Medford) was arrested for Failure To Stop For Police; Speeding; Reckless Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; and Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License. (Manuel would face additional charges from Reading Police.) Manuel allegedly robbed a bank in Reading. He was captured in Wilmington after a vehicle pursuit, then a foot pursuit on Allgrove Lane. (2:26pm)
