Dear Editor,
I have lived in Wilmington for 54 years now.
When I moved to Wilmington and bought my home, Route 93 was not built yet. In fact, they took some of my property to build Route 93.
Now the master bedroom on my home almost sits on Route 93 and the noise from that highway is just about unbearable.
I have been contacting for many years MassDOT in Boston for sound barriers and I think they forgot Wilmington, as I see them going up all over.
There are a lot of homes in Wilmington along Route 93 and they are having the same problem as I have talked with many of them.
Route 93 can even be heard from residents on Salem St.
I cannot see why they could not put sound barriers from Route 125 to Route 62, as it sure would serve a lot of people in Wilmington.
Thank you in advance,
Ron Deveau
