VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Wilmington Rec Department, WCTV Put Out Call For Volunteers

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department and Wilmington Community Television recently announced several upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Easter Egg Scramble

The Wilmington Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help out at its Annual Easter Egg Scramble on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Wilmington Town Common. As many volunteer as possible are needed from 1pm to 2pm. If you are willing and available to help out, please call the Recreation Department at 978-658-4270 or email Karen Campbell at kcampbell@wilmingtonma.gov

WCTV Crew Call

Want to record a community event or be a part of a WCTV-led crew? Here are some things that are coming up on the calendar. Please note that the spring Wildcat sports season is getting underway and WCTV is seeking play-by-play and camera operators for baseball, softball and lacrosse.

Wetland Resource Areas and Conservation Land in Wilmington: What Does It All Mean?
Wednesday, April 10th – 7PM

Town Conservation Agent Ryan Hale will provide an overview of the Town’s wetland resource areas and conservation land.

How much do you know about the Quabbin Reservoir? Nancy Huntington, from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will discuss its history, its construction and how it is managed.

Thursday, May 23th – 7PM
Join avid gardener, photographer and lecturer Suzanne Mahler, and take a colorful journey through New England.

Seeking camera operators.
