WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Saturday, March 30, 2019:
#1) 11th Annual March-A-Pella Concert
The Wilmington High School Choral & Theatre Support Group (WHS CATS) is proud to present the 11th March-A-Pella on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 7pm in the Wilmington High School’s Joanne Benton Auditorium (159 Church Street).
The following a cappella groups are scheduled to perform:
- National Recording Artists Ball in the House
- Boston-based Elevate
- UMass Lowell’s Vocality
- Merrimack College’s Take Note
- Wilmington High School’s SoundScape
- Wilmington Middle School’s WilmingTones
Tickets for adults cost $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Tickets for students (18 and under) and seniors (65 and older) cost $12 in advance and at the door. Online tickets can be purchased HERE.
Paper tickets will be available at the door, while supplies last. Seating is general admission so, arrive early for best selection.
On the evening of the concert, attendees are asked to enter WHS through the right rear event entrance. Free parking is available in the high school parking lot (entrance from Adams Street) and across the street near the 4th of July Building parking lot on Middlesex Avenue.
Event sponsors include Reading Cooperative Bank, the Wilmington Sons of Italy, and Wilson Wolfe Real Estate.
Proceeds will beneift scholarships and supplemental production costs to benefit the choral and theatre students at Wilmington High School.
#2) Shawsheen Tech’s Annual Spring Festival
The Shawsheen Tech is holding its Annual Spring Festival on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 9am to 3pm, at the school.
This family-friendly event features:
- Fantastic vendors from the school’s famous “Fall Fair,” plus new terrific vendors
- Water balloon dodge ball, hula hoop contest, and arts & crafts
- Food, music, and more!
Admission is free, but refreshments and activities may have a cost. The event takes place in the school’s cafeteria and outside on the back patio and parking lot.

#3) Wilmington Democratic Town Committee’s Annual Scholarship Breakfast
The Wilmington Democratic Town Committee will host its Annual Scholarship Breakfast on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10am to noon, at Windsor Place of Wilmington (92 West Street).
Attendees will enjoy a great breakfast spread and hear from elected officials and candidates for office.
Tickets cost $25 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the committee’s scholarships for graduating Wilmington seniors

#4) Spring Castleberry Fair Arts & Craft Fair Festival At Shriners Auditroium
The Spring Castelberry Fair Arts and Craft Festival will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 10am to 4pm, at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road).
Over 150 Juried artisans from throughout New England will display and sell their American made works; including Pottery, Fine Art, Original Watercolors, Slate, Fine Jewelry, Tile, Wearable Art, Primitives, Folk Art, Intarsia, Soft Sculpture, Country Wood Crafts, Wind Chimes, Painted Stemware, Florals, Vintage Chic, Pewter, Leather, Candles, Mixed Media, Pillow Quilts, Basketry, Metal Sculpture, Garden Art, Custom Signs, Shell Craft, Decoupage, Aroma-Therapy, Photography, Flags, Stained Glass, Fiber Art, Personal Care and more.
A “food sampling” extravaganza will be presented with such specialty delights as Herbal Dips, Fudge, Marinades, Roasted Nuts, Pickles, Jams & Jellies, Salsas, Hot Sauces, Honey, Olive Oils, Fine Chocolates, Balsamic Vinegars, Soup Mixes, Gluten Free Baked Goods, Wine Slushy Mixes, Garlic Salts and more.

#5) Used Puzzle Palooza At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Used Puzzle Palooza from 10am to noon. Need a new puzzle? Join us for our first-ever Used Puzzle Palooza and pick up some new-to-you puzzles to connect with friends or recharge your batteries. Great for experienced puzzlers or just thinking of giving puzzling a try. Limit of five puzzles, however number may change day of event based on donations. Puzzles are free although donations to the Friends of Wilmington Memorial Library happily accepted.
