5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Thursday, March 28, 2019

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, March 28, 2019:

#1) Behavioral Health Fair At Wilmington High

Wilmington Public Schools invites parents and guardians to its 4th Annual Behavioral Health Fair from 5pm to 8pm at Wilmington High School.

Local and municipal resources will be available from 5pm to 6pm in the High School’s Cafeteria. Vendors will cover the following areas: social and emotional supports, behavioral/mental health, wellness, stress management, substance abuse, mindfulness, and more.

Cory Mashburn, a consultant and spaker with the Middlesex Partnership for Youth, will discuss the state’s bullying legislation from 6pm to 7pm in the High School’s Auditorium.

Mary Cole, Program Coordinator of the Greater Boston Tobacco-Free Community Partnership, will discuss what parents need to know about e-cigarettes and vape products from 7pm to 8pm in the High School’s Auditorium.

Childcare is available in the school’s Large Instruction Room throughout the event.

The fair is organized by the district’s Behavioral Health Task Force Members. The program is part of the Wildcat Project Part 3 and is funded by the Massachusetts Tobacco Cessation & Prevention Program.

#2) Wilmington Water & Sewer Commission Meeting

The Wilmington Water & Sewer Commission meets at 5:30pm in the Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.

#3) Unplug! Paint & Sip At Wilmington Library

Join the Wilmington Memorial Library for a fun, engaging, and interactive Paint Night at 7pm! Artist Raquel Palermo Kaplan will guide you through the steps of creating a floral-themed work of art. All materials will be provided and all skill levels are welcome. Sip a mocktail and chat with friends while you paint! Register at the main desk. $15 fee.

#4) Meditation At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a drop-in mditation class at 12:30pm. If you’re interested in starting a meditation practice, join technology librarian, Brad McKenna, for his weekly drop-in meditation sessions. It will be a mixture of silent and guided meditations The Insight Timer app will be used so you can continue your practice at home.

#5) Tour Of Wilmington Town Museum

The Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open from 10am to 2pm. Come explore Wilmington’s history. Free admission.
