WILMINGTON, MA — When Wilmington voters go to the polls next month, they will have some decisions to make.
The Town Clerk’s Office finished certifying nomination papers after Friday’s filing deadline and it’s now official — Wilmington will see contested two contested Selectmen races.
SIX candidates are running for TWO seats on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen:
- Greg Bendel (incumbent)
- Kevin Caira (incumbent)
- Robert Fasulo, Jr. (challenger)
- Mark Maselli (challenger)
- Daniel Murphy (challenger)
- Suzanne Sullivan (challenger)
THREE candidates are running for ONE seat on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen: (NOTE: The winner of this seat will serve the remaining one year on the term of former Selectman Ed Loud, who recently resigned.)
- Kevin MacDonald
- Daryn Marsh
- Jomarie O’Mahony
Incumbent Jo Newhouse and newcomers Jesse Fennelly and Jay Samaha are running unopposed to the Wilmington School Committee. (Incumbents Julie Broussard and Tom Talbot are not seeking re-election.)
Longtime Shawsheen Tech School Committee incumbent Robert Peterson Sr. is once again running uncontested.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm.
The last day to register to vote in the Town Election is Monday, April 8, 2019. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:30am to 8pm.
