POLICE LOG for March 3: Money Stolen From St. Thomas Church; Suspicious Activities Not As They Seem

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, March 3, 2019:

  • An Evergreen Drive caller reported a male party looking into vehicles in parking lot with a flashlight and backpack. Police responded and located a male party with a cell phone flashlight in use “taking care of dog issues.” Clear. (12:54am)
  • A Dunkin Donuts employee reported a suspicious person near a vehicle in the parking lot. Vehicle left prior to police arrival. Police escorted female employee into the business. (4:34pm)
  • A St. Thomas church employee reported money was stolen this morning. Police responded. A Poland Springs jug containing approximately $25 was taken during morning mass. (10:35am)
  • A caller reported a past road rage incident on Main Street, claims other involved female driver was “brake-chaking,” then got out of her vehicle and yelled at her for “tailgating.” (2:59pm)
  • A Mill Road caller reported 3 male individuals in black hoodies were walking around the neighborhood. Caller stated individuals rang door bell and left. Police located three juveniles, which ran into woods when they saw cruiser. Juveniles stated they were asking neighbors if they’d like their driveways shoveled for the incoming snow storm. (9:07pm)
