WILMINGTON, MA — Below are recent announcements from the Wilmington Recreation Department:
Day Trip To Pickity Place
Calling all those who are interested in celebrating the Spring with a gourmet meal in a quaint cottage-like restaurant surrounded by gardens and woods, followed by a toast to the season with a winery tour and tastings!
We’re off to Pickity Place, where all of the food is made from the freshest of ingredients, and seasoned with herbs and edible flowers grown in their own gardens. All meal entrees are accompanied by soup, salad, homemade bread and an over-the-top delectable dessert. After our scrumptious lunch, we’ll head to the Averill House Vineyard where they make unique grape and other fruit wines.
This trip is on Saturday, April 27, and is $95 (+$5 for non-residents). Call your friends to make a day of it!

“Welcome To Spring” Decorative Sign Class
Winter may not be over yet, but it’s not too soon to be thinking ahead to the warmer weather. Ring in the return of our favorite season by creating your own decorative sign to adorn your house or give as a personalized gift!
In our “Welcome to Spring” class, adults will stencil your choice of colored paints on a 42″ board. One side with feature the design shown below, and on the reverse side you may choose your own short customized saying. This project will be conducted by our experienced instructor. This class will be held on Tuesday, March 5 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Cost is $50.
