Networkers—Recovering from a Layoff *RR
Monday, March 4, 10 am
Learn how to recover quickly from a layoff and find employment again. In this video, instructor Brie Reynolds begins with the first steps to take after a layoff, including making a structured recovery plan. Then she covers topics such as filling the gap in your resume, networking after a layoff, searching and applying for jobs, and interviewing for a job after you’ve been laid off.

Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory*RR
Monday, March 4, 3 pm (please note time)
Dr. Andrew E. Budson, Professor of Neurology at BU, lecturer at Harvard, and Medical Director of the Boston Center for Memory will explain how individuals can distinguish changes in memory due to Alzheimer’s versus normal aging; what medications, vitamins, diets, and exercise regimes can help; and the best habits, strategies, and memory aids to use, in seven simple steps.  Dr. Budson has coauthored or edited five books on the subject of memory loss, Alzheimer’s, and dementia.

Featured Cookbook: Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar at and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes!

Microsoft Word *RR
Wednesday, March 6, 7 pm
Join Technology Librarian, Brad McKenna, for a hands-on exercise with Microsoft Word. In this class you’ll learn how to change font styles, create lists, insert pictures, and more. A handout for additional practice will be provided.

Pints + Pages Book Group
Thursday, March 7, 7 pm
Featured Book: The Best We Could Do by Thi Bu
Location: Reading, Biltmore & Main
Social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. Librarians from the Wilmington and Reading Public Libraries host the book discussion.

Friday, March 1-Saturday, March 30
Place your bets on which YA book reigns supreme in Wilmington! Pick up a ballot each week in March, and vote on your favorite books. After the winning title is announced April 1, the winning bracket holder gets a free book.

Family Mindfulness: Sensory Awareness through Engaging Activities
Saturday, March 2, 9:30 am
This class for parents and their infants, toddlers or preschoolers will help parents learn to use mindfulness in their own lives as well as with children. We will also learn how to help them help their family be more aware and in the present moment. Mindfulness can help people of all ages increase their attention span, improve memory, social functioning, self- esteem and reduce stress, The class helps parents to experience what mindfulness is and to show caregivers/parents how to use it in their lives in a practical way.

Book Buddies *RR
Session 1: Fridays, March 1, 8, 15, 3:45
This fun literacy program pairs kids with teen volunteers for one-on-one reading fun. In this three-week program, kids can practice reading or be read to, receive one-on-one attention from a trained teen, share a snack, and do a fun activity. Teens can register at the library or online for one or both sessions to earn up to 10 community service hours.
