#1) Town Hall With Congressman Seth Moulton
Congressman Seth Moulton, who represents Wilmington and the rest of the the 6th Congressional District of Massachusetts, has scheduled a Town Hall event at 1pm in Wilmington Town Hall’s Auditorium (121 Glen Road). Moulton will be on hand to answer questions from and listen to the concerns of his constituents from Wilmington and beyond. Wilmington Apple will be live-tweeting the event HERE.
#2) Chocolate Festival Fundraiser
You are cordially invited to an event of chocolaty goodness from 2pm to 5pm at the Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street). Sample an array of delectable chocolate treats, all prepared by the Wilmington-Tewksbury United Methodist Women group. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids (under 12) to fill a plate. First come, first served. Tickets available at the door. This event includes a silent auction so, be sure to check that out as well! This is a FUNdraising event to benefit the WTUMW’s outreach and mission efforts.
#3) Motorcycle Expo At Shriners Auditorium
The 19th Annual Northeast Motorcycle Expo is proud to return to the Shiners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road, Wilmington) on Saturday, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, 10am-5pm. Come browse the custom bike show, visit the motorcycle dealers, chat with custom bike builders, and see hundreds of new and used motorcycles. Explore motorcycle paraphernalia including riding gear on display from dozens of retailers from around the area and more. This is a one-stop motorcycle shopping for all. Don’t forget to pick your favorite custom bike or simply have a drink, listen to the live band and enjoy the day. Join thousands of motorcycle enthusiast enjoying 40,000 square feet of everything motorcycles. Admission costs $15.00 per person, children ages 6 to 12 years old $7.00 with accompanied with an adult, and children 5 and under are free accompanied with an adult.
#4) Community Forum For School District’s Strategic Planning Process
The Wilmington Public Schools is currently setting out to develop a new strategic plan as the district sets its sights on the future. Your feedback is wanted! Almost 60 staff, students and parents/guardians are helping built the new plan that will identify the district’s vision, values, goals and priorities. As part of this effort, the team is very interested in gathering the ideas of community members to learn more about what YOU would like WPS to become in the future. The final meeting, open to anyone in Wilmington, will be held at 9am in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.
#5) WCTV Food Drive At Market Basket
Wilmington Community Television is holding its annual food drive — Donations From The Heart — from 9am to 1pm at the Market Basket in Wilmington. WCTV staff and youth volunteers will be setting up a table inside Market Basket. Volunteers will be at the doors of the store handing out lists of food most needed by the Wilmington Food Pantry. If you are shopping at that time, please take a list and purchase one or two of the items off of it. Then go to the table in front of the store and drop off your donation. Volunteers will pack up the boxes and bring them to the food pantry.
