Learn why LinkedIn is pivotal to your job search. Gain the attributes of a stronger LinkedIn profile. Master the skills of navigation needed for networking, interview prep, and researching your target industries and organizations. We’ll also talk about how the core competencies of your resume can be pulled directly from your LinkedIn account. Come with your questions, leave with confidence. Curl up with a handmade blanket on a cold winter night. Avid knitter Jen Tierney will teach the basics of knitting. You’ll be knitting one and purling two in no time! Please register at main desk. $5, ages 16+.
CSI: Fact & Fiction *RR

Do popular crime shows on television accurately depict the role of forensic science in solving crimes? Discuss the myths and realities of crime scene investigations with Professor Mike Cross, Department Chair of Natural Sciences at Northern Essex Community College. You’ll learn the strengths and limitations of modern forensics and have the chance to test your own skills at crime solving.

We may think we learned everything we need to know about the alphabet in kindergarten, but calligraphy allows us to see the 26 letters in a whole new way. From medieval monks working on vellum to contemporary artists, Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord explores the history of calligraphy and the basic principles of pen lettering. Participants will be introduced to the basic principles of holding and writing with a broad edge marker. They will be given a handout to continue work at home. Please register at main desk. $10. Ages 16+.
Poetry Circle *RR

Sound Off A Cappella Concert

Formed in 2013, Sound Off is an award-winning semi-professional a cappella group based in Boston, MA and proud member of the Contemporary A cappella League (CAL). They are young men and women from all different career fields brought together by an unabashed love for a cappella music and performance. While they perform regularly around the Greater Boston area, Sound Off continues to develop a diverse repertoire of modern pop with a soulful twist. Join us for this fun and entertaining “unplugged” concert and some light refreshments! (9th grade and up, $10 Students, $15 adults)
