WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 22, 2018:
- Police noticed a suspicious man walking by Reading Cooperative Bank on Middlesex Avenue. Police stopped man near Sunrise Kitchen. Man had been released from Tewksbury Detox. He received a cab voucher, which brought him to the North Wilmington train station. The last train was hours ago, so police dropped him off at Anderson station in Woburn to await at 2:15am Logan Express bus to Boston where he has family and friends. (1:39am)
- Melissa C. Hoover (25, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Motor Vehicle Lights Violation. (3:18am)
- Parks and Grounds reported a group of people were on the turf field at Yentile Farm. Police removed 12 people from the field. (12:59pm)
- A Shawsheen Avenue caller reported her mailbox was knocked over sometime overnight. (1:07pm)
- Police received report of a ATV riding in the back of the ballfield behind Town Hall. (2:46pm)
- A caller reported a fire hydrant on Harold Avenue was struck and was laying on its side. (5:23pm)
- A caller reported a male party got out of a car on Hopkins Street and started urinating in the street. Police was behind the vehicle and stopped it. The man was a passenger in a Lyft vehicle being driven to his residence in Billerica. (7:05pm)
- A Concord Street caller stated vehicles were pulling over and stopping on his lawn and property to view the Christmas lights at 12R Concord Street. Caller also stated several near accidents occurred last week as well as traffic being backed up to 93. Police responded and put cones out in front of Concord Street. (8:12pm)
