WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Community Chorus is excited to announce their first performance on Saturday, December 15th at 4:00pm at the Wilmington Arts Center, 219 Middlesex Ave in Wilmington. They’ll be performing a selection of holiday songs and featuring a number of soloists from Wilmington and surrounding communities.
“The Chorus has been working diligently every Thursday evening for several months now, and they’re excited to be performing at their first-ever concert as The Wilmington Community Chorus,” sayid Director Taunia Soderquist.
The Chorus will be performing a wide variety of selections like “O Magnum Mysterium,” “Where Are You Christmas,” and a Sia song titled “Santa’s Coming For Us.” Featured soloists include Nicole Barry, Kayla Blizzard, Heather Griffin, Paul Goodell, Nithya Jesuraj, Kristen Kelley, Elaine Page, Andrea Skoog, and Deanna Smith.
The performance is free to the public and in addition to an afternoon of cheerful music, there will also be refreshments provided and a number of wonderful raffles provided by very generous local organizations and donors. 50% of the raffle ticket sale proceeds will go to the Wilmington Food Pantry.
The Wilmington Community Chorus is open to all singers with no auditions required, and rehearses every Thursday at 6:30 at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church at 4 Forest St. in Wilmington, MA. Rehearsals will begin for the new season at the end of January.
