5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Wednesday, December 5, 2018

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Wednesday, December 5, 2018:

#1) Wilmington Senior Center’s Annual Holiday Party

The Wilmington Senior Center is holding its annual Holiday Party at the Tewksbury Country Club from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The party will feature a dinner and music & entertainment provided by DJ Dan. Tickets cost $25 each and can be purchased at the Senior Center.

#2) Winter Wreath Workshop

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Winter Rreath Workshop at 2pm. Decorate and take home a festive winter wreath to brighten your door or wall. Wilmington resident and experienced crafter Dianna DiGregorio will lend her expertise and experienced eye in helping everyone create a beautiful arrangement. All supplies provided including base, ribbon, and greens. Supplies cost $20. For ages 16 and up. Register at the library’s Front Desk.

#3) Intro To Blogging With WordPress

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Beginners Blogging Workshop at 7pm. Interested in learning more about blogging in general and WordPress in particular? Or do you already have an idea you want to see come to life? Join technology librarian, Brad McKenna, to see how easily that can be done with WordPress. Register HERE.

#4) Wilmington Conservation Commission Meeting

The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets in 7pm at Town Hall’s Room 9. The library creating outdoor reading area, Earth Day events, and plant nutrient regulations are on the agenda. Read the full agenda HERE.

#5) Get Rid Of Your Yardwaste

For the final Wednesday of the year, the Recycling Center, located off Old Main Street at the Wilmington/Woburn line, will be open for leaf and brush drop-off from 8am to 2pm. Only Wilmington residents will be allowed to use the facility for leaves and brush drop-off. Residents must show an ID at the entrance to the facility. No grass clippings will be accepted. No contractors or commercial vehicles will be allowed. Residents using the Recycling Center must purchase a punch card for $15 which will be good for 5 visits to the center. Punch cards may be purchased Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Treasurer’s Office at Town Hall. Cards purchased previously that have unpunched visits are still valid.
