OBITUARY: Gladys G. (Sullivan) Vose, 97

MANSFIELD, MA — Gladys G. (Sullivan) Vose, age 97, of Mansfield, formerly of Nashua, NH and Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Charwell House in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger E. Vose, Sr. to whom she was wed for over fifty years.

Born in Wilmington, MA on March 29, 1921, she was a loving daughter of the late Patrick David and Mary (Brabant) Sullivan.

Gladys grew up in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a Nurses Aide at Tewksbury State Hospital for over twenty years.

A former thirty-eight-year resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, Gladys enjoyed her home and especially loved spending time with her adoring family.

She was the devoted mother of the late Edward “Buddy” Boyd and Roger E. Vose, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Patti Jean Gibbons of Derry, NH, Brian Boyd of Pelham, NH, Edward “Buddy” of Pelham, NH, great grandmother of Jennifer Ferguson of Pelham, NH, Daniel Ferguson of Pelham, NH, Nicholas Boyd of Pelham, NH and great-great grandmother of Colin Ferguson. She is also survived several nieces and nephews including Charlotte Downs and her husband Clifton of Mansfield, Caroline Harris and her husband Greg of Wilmington, as well as grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially to attend a graveside funeral service on Thursday, December 6th at 1:00 P.M. at the Wildwood Cemetery, 233 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
