Wilmington’s Friendship Lodge Invites Residents To Open House On October 20

WILMINGTON, MA — Have you ever visited a Masonic Lodge? Have you ever thought about becoming a Mason? Come to our Lodge at 32 Church Street and take a look at our facilities and meet some Masons during our Open House on Saturday, October 20, from 9am to 3pm.

Members of Friendship Lodge comprised largely of Wilmington residents actively seeking to become the best versions of themselves. Freemasonry provides opportunities for fellowship, charity, education, and leadership while creating friendship and understanding between men without regard to their nationality, religion, race, background, or opinion. We are the oldest Fraternal Organization in Wilmington and we have a current membership of 140 members.

Some of the community activities and charities Friendship Lodge is involved with are the Masonic HELP program (Hospital Equipment Loan Program). We loan all kinds of hospital equipment such as beds, wheel chairs, commodes, etc. right from our Lodge to whoever needs them. We provide scholarships to Wilmington high school graduates. We loan and install wheel chair ramps in the greater Wilmington area to those in need for as long as they need them. We sponsor Red Cross blood drives several times a year. We have an Angel Fund from which we make donations to anonymous Wilmington students with a pressing need, usually medical needs such as glasses, hearing aids, special vans for school trips, etc. We have an annual dinner for Wilmington Seniors and luncheon for Masonic Widows. We have a Wellness Committee to help our senior members with transportation, visitations, and other needs. We occasionally sponsor a Masonic My Chip Program which provides parents with DNA samples, video and photo ID, finger print identification, etc. for their children if ever needed in an emergency. In addition we have many social and community related activities throughout the year.

Please come and visit us at our Open House on October 20th.
