WILMINGTON, MA — After nearly two years in the position, Wilmington Assistant Town Manager Denise “Dee” Casey is moving on to become the Assistant Town Manager in nearby North Andover.
Casey successfully wore many hats as Wilmington’s Assistant Town Manager, with major responsibilities in human resources, risk management, IT, long-range planning, collective bargaining, procurement activities, and budgeting.
Prior to arriving in Wilmington, Casey served as Lexington’s Human Resources Director since 2007 to 2016. She previously worked in the Human Resources Departments in Concord and Bedford, while performing consulting work for several other towns. Casey also served as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University, teaching classes in local government.
Casey has attained many awards during her career, including the Emil Skop Award from the Massachusetts Municipal Personnel Association for her dedication in the field of municipal human resources.
Casey was selected as Wilmington Assistant Town Manager back in November 2016, after former Assistant Town Manager Kendra Amaral left to become Town Manager in Kittery, Maine.
Casey is replacing former North Andover Assistant Town Manager Ray Santilli, who retired in September after 17 years in the position.
Wilmington posted the Assistant Town Manager job opening on Tuesday.
