In The Community: The Aleppo Shriners are holding a Brewfest at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Doors open at 1pm. Event ends at 4:30pm. The Brewfest will feature nearly 100 varieties of craft brews, unlimited 2 oz. samples, and complementary Oktoberfest fare of Bratwurst & Pretzels. Tickets cost $50.00 per person. In The Community: The Wilmington Congregational Church (220 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Red Cross Blood Drive from 10am to 3pm. Walk-ins welcomed.
In The Community: The Wilmington-based Merrimack Valley Acappella Chorus is collecting donations of soft items from 9:30am to 11am at the Wilmington Arts Center (219 Middlesex Avenue). Soft items include clothes, shoes, hats, bags, and linens/towels. In conjunction with Savers of Wilmington, every bag dropped off at the Arts Center will help raise money for the chorus to help cover the costs of rehearsal space, costuming, coaching, music, transportation, and more.
In The Community: The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library.
