Mark Eric Jepson, born on July 10, 1982, and passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2018.
Cherished son of W. Mark and Robyn Jepson of Georgetown TX and Sally MacIver of Derry NH. Adored brother of Shannon (Jepson) and Bryan Kaiser of Tewksbury, Rachael Lesperance of Salem MA and Alexis Schofield of Gilmanton, NH. Looked up to by his 4 biggest fans, Brenna, Jake, Sean and Brigitte Kaiser all of Tewksbury MA. Uncle was their real life hero. He will forever be missed by the love of his life, Kristie Larsen. He also left behind his faithful companion, his Newfie Willow. He is also survived by so many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him.
Mark was a friend to everyone he met. Always greeted you with a warm smile and pulled you in for a huge hug. He saw the best in everyone and offered his help wherever he could. He had a sense of humor like none other and one could be rest assured that anytime in his presence was a good time.
He was a standout track and football star, captain of the Varsity Football Team at Wilmington High School and attended a post-grad year at Bridgton Academy. He earned a full ride and graduated from Wagner College where he went on to become an All-American his sophomore and junior year. It was his constant dedication to excellence in everything he did that made him someone you never forgot.
He followed in his father’s footsteps and made a career in law enforcement; earning himself the title of corrections officer of the year in 2012 after he prevented a serious assault while off duty. Mark was never the biggest kid around but he was one of the toughest. He never backed down from a challenge and defended anyone or anything he believed in.
He left his mark on this world and in the hearts of everyone that he knew. Thirty-six years was not nearly enough time and going on without him will be the hardest thing to do for those he left behind. He wanted nothing more than to be a good son, a loving brother, a doting Uncle. All of which he was and so much more. We were and forever will be so very proud of him and how hard he worked to overcome every obstacle in front of him. He will forever be the one we all looked up to today and everyday.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19th 2pm at Trinity Evangelical Church in North Reading at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be at the Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury from 4-8pm. Please join us and share all of your wonderful memories of Mark.
