Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Please note we request registration for programs that are marked *RR. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for funding support for library programs!

Got questions about how to describe gaps on your resume, perhaps you left your last position with less than warm feelings, stuck on how to present yourself? Not making it past the first interviews? Ask a counselor about any aspect of the job search. Come with questions and leave with great ideas. Taught by MassHire staff.

Gun Control and the Right to Bear Arms *RR

Facilitator Keith West, debate coach at Boston Latin, will lead this second amendment discussion.   This is an opportunity to voice your opinion and to listen and learn from others. Background reading (article length) will be available at the main desk.

Coffee with a Cop
Wednesday, September 19, 10 am
Drop in, grab a tea or coffee, and chat with a police officer. Learn about the rights of the public as well as the roles and responsibilities of Police and Community in a relaxed and open setting. All questions welcome.

Current Affairs Discussion Group*RR

This group is for all who would like to broaden their knowledge of current national and international affairs. You will have the opportunity to discuss topical events and learn from others. Led by facilitator Dan Hall.

Empathic Meditation *RR
Thursdays, September (13, 20, & 27), 11 am
Part of civility is being mindful of other people’s thoughts and opinions as well as being kind to them no matter whether you agree or not. Meditation is a great way to work on that. These four half hour sessions will focus on general practices of compassion and gratitude as well as the Buddhist practices of Metta and Tonglen. Led by Technology Librarian Brad McKenna.  Drop in.
