WILMINGTON REC REMINDERS: Pickleball For Beginners; Tai Chi; New Running Program

WILMINGTON, MA — September is the month to start fresh! While the kids go back to school, adults can have fun with Wilmington Recreation classes!

“Beginner Pickleball”

What’s all the buzz with this up-and-coming sport? Registration for this entry-level program will introduce you to the rules, scoring and basic strategies. Each week will feature some basic instruction followed by match-play with other participants. Tuesdays, Sep. 11 – Oct. 30 from 6 – 7 p.m. Cost is $25.

“Off and Running”

A new offering taught by a local RCCA Certified running coach and is sure to ‘kick’ your morning off right! Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome. Tuesdays, Sep. 18 – Oct. 23, 6 – 7 a.m. Cost is $100.

“Tai Chi”

Tai Chi is a combination of an ancient form of martial arts that involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and meditation/relaxation. Learn how to use controlled breathing and mental strength to center yourself and purge negative energy. Tuesdays, Sep. 25 – Nov 20 (no 11/6), 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
