READING, MA — Wilmington resident Nicolle Renick was recently named Head Coach of Austin Prep’s Varsity Cross Country program.
“I’m extremely excited, grateful, and honored to be named Head Coach of the Cross Country program here at Austin Prep,” said Coach Renick. “In my time here at Austin, the faculty and staff at the school have always been exceptional to work with and I have no doubts about their continued support for the future of the Cross Country program.”
“The student-athletes are the number one reason I cannot imagine being anywhere else,” continued Renick. “Working with them over the years has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I’ve always been passionate about the sport of running, and I am excited to share that passion, along with my knowledge, with these athletes. Let’s go Cougars!”
Renick served as Austin Prep’s Assistant Track and Field Coach last year. She has also served as the school’s Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach since 2015. Renick coached the JV Girls Basketball team from 2011 to 2015.
“I could not be more pleased to name Coach Renick Head Coach of Cross Country program. Coach Renick has become engrained in the Austin Prep community through the multiple assistant coaching positions she has held over the years,” said Austin Prep Athletic Director Jonathan Pollard. “In her time at Austin, Coach Renick has been a great role model for our student-athletes, and built strong relationships with all she has coached. I am excited to see her finally have the opportunity to lead one of our programs as Head Coach.”
