POLICE LOG for August 13: Reports Of Drug Activity In Abandoned House; Telephone Pole Catches Fire

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, August 13, 2018:

• Police received report of a telephone pole on fire on Upton Drive. Police noted pole was smoldering and smoking, but no visible flames at moment. RMLD and Fire Department notified. (7:08am)
• Police noticed a couch in the roadway on State Street. Police spoke with homeowner, who said he put the couch out for trash pickup last week. He was advised to move couch from roadway. (7:11am)
• A walk-in party reported a credit card fraud. (12:52pm)
• A resident reported an abandoned house contains needles and other drug paraphernalia. Police responded and observed property damage, but no needles. (3:13pm)
