WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 10, 2018:
- Police notified DPW of a tree that came down on Chestnut Street, partially blocking the roadway. (7:02am)
- A Lowell Five Bank employee reported a woman was sleeping in their vestibule. Woman took off on foot upon police arrival, carrying a tent. Police spoke with management. If she is found again, she will be no trespassed. (7:44am)
- Police received report of a female attempting to enter vehicles in the MBTA parking lot on Main Street. (8:12am)
- Police gave a driver a verbal warning for improperly parking in the Purple Heart parking spot at Town Hall. (9:31am)
- Animal Control Officer freed a baby raccoon from a trash barrel. (9:36am)
- A Chestnut Street caller reported she noticed yesterday that the window that holds her AC has been pushed open approximately 6 inches and noted possible footprints in the mulch under the window. (10:33am)
- An injured coyote was reported in a backyard on Castle Drive. Police were unable to locate. (7:02pm)
- A caller reported a young male with no helmet was on a motorcycle going back and forth on West Street, doing wheelies. Police were unable to locate. (7:21pm)
- A caller reported a past hit & run in the Target parking lot. (7:28pm)
