WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) has created a “Wilmington War Veterans” Exhibit, which will be on display at the Museum from August 5 through September 30.
This special exhibit honors Wilmington’s Vietnam War veterans and Wilmington’s World War II veterans. The exhibit includes photos, news clippings, and memorabilia related to the experience of Wilmington veterans of the Vietnam War. The exhibit also contains Wilmington’s own World War II Memorial Wall — a collection of panels which include photo of Wilmington’s World War II veterans from the restaurant of George Spanos.
The Museum is holding its monthly Open House on Sunday, August 5, from 2pm to 4pm. The Museum is also open every Thursday and Friday, from 10am to 2pm, this August for exhibit viewing and tours. Admission is always free.
