WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Police Department will hold its 5th Annual National Night Out at Rotary Park, across from the Public Safety Building, on Tuesday, August 7, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Wilmington residents are invited to this free, family-friendly event featuring emergency vehicles & equipment displays, demonstrations, crime prevention information, bouncy houses, food from Red Heat Tavern, and bicycle giveaways from Target.
National Night Out is held annually across the nation on the first Tuesday in August. The event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Meet with law enforcement officers from various local, state, & federal agencies and learn how they serve our community.
Watch a brief PSA about the event from WPD Matt Stavro, courtesy of Wilmington Community Television. Stavro reveals there will be a bomb dog demonstration from the National Park Service, horses from the State Police, and – hopefully – a Medflight helicopter anding.
