Women In World Jazz Family Event *RR

Women In World Jazz is an international ensemble, bringing together some of the finest world and jazz musicians. In this educational concert, these musicians celebrate the diversity and power of creativity, presenting vocal and instrumental music from different eras, cultures, and styles. The program offers audience participation playing and singing. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Wilmington Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. All ages.
Coffee with a Cop
Wednesday, July 18, 10 am-11 am
Drop in, grab a tea or coffee, and chat with a police officer from Wilmington’s Police Department in a relaxed and open setting. All questions welcome.
Current Affairs Discussion Group *RR
Wednesday, July 18, 7 pm
This new group is for all who would like to broaden their knowledge of current national and international affairs. You will have the opportunity to discuss topical events and learn from others. Recommended background readings will be provided prior to each meeting. Led by facilitator Dan Hall.
Jazz and Much More…*RR

Jazz saxophonist Sagit Zilberman, an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer, will perform music from the American Songbook as well as songs from different countries (Israel, Argentina, Ireland, Africa and Iran), and a few originals as well in this interactive performance. In addition to the saxophone, Sagit will play the space drum, the didgeridoo, and the rainstick.

Create an animated mini-movie using clay, Legos, paper, and other materials in this two-part workshop. Kids will work in teams to create the story, film and edit their movie. Grades 4-8
