WILMINGTON, MA — Below is information about some upcoming trips organized by the Wilmington Recreation Department.
New Hampshire Turkey Train – Saturday, October 20: $86. Enjoy the change of seasons on this trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Upon arrival in Meredith, board the Scenic Railroad Dining Car for a full course Hart’s Turkey Farm luncheon as you travel the scenic shores of Lake Winnipesauke. Add some local sightseeing with stops at a farm stand and a candy store to complete this delicious day!
Vine to Wine Delight – Saturday, November 3: $86. We depart Wilmington for our first stop, the Kringle Candle Company. Founded by the son of the founder of Yankee Candle, the Kringle Candle line unites the traditional and the new. Lunch is served at Honora Winery & Vineyard, followed by a tour and wine tasting. Lastly, we will visit the Putney Mountain Winery, known for fruit wines, sparkling wine and Putney Bubbly sparkling juices.
Christmas Amoré – Tuesday, December 4: $95. After a sell-out at Carnegie Hall, the Sicilian Tenors are ready to bring the joy of the holiday season to life through song. Join us for an incredibly heartfelt and tender Christmas show at the Danversport Yacht Club. This is a great opportunity to get “in the spirit” of the holiday season!
An American Bandstand, New Year’s Eve Day – Monday, December 31: $94. Ring in the New Year early on this new motor coach trip to Lake Pearl in Wrentham. The Tom LaMark orchestra will perform live. They feature great music from the Swing Era, the best in Ballroom Dancing, our favorite Line Dances and the best of American Bandstand from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. It’s time to dust off your dancing shoes!
