How to Rumba! *RR

Attending a wedding and bringing your two left feet? Let the directors of Dance Fever Studios, Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov teach you the “dance of love” – the rumba! Learn how to shake those hips, keep a connection with your partner, and feel the music during this class. Dance Fever is the prime ballroom dance studio in the greater Boston area. Join us as we step, strut, and swing through summer – no partner required.

A social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. Librarians from the Wilmington and Reading Public Libraries host the book discussion.

This new group is for all who would like to broaden their knowledge of current national and international affairs. You will have the opportunity to discuss topical events and learn from others. Recommended background readings will be provided prior to each meeting. Led by facilitator Dan Hall.
Jazz and Much More *RR

Jazz saxophonist Sagit Zilberman, an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer, will perform music from the American Songbook as well as songs from different countries (Israel, Argentina, Ireland, Africa and Iran), and a few originals as well in this interactive performance. In addition to the saxophone, Sagit will play the space drum, the didgeridoo, and the rainstick.

Monday, July 9, 3-4:30 pm
Use portable microphones and free coding software to inspire a new generation of programmers and sound engineers! In this workshop, kids will be introduced to coding concepts and basic sound design using simple programs to record/modify their voices and design a beat box. Grades 5-8
Sciencetellers Wild West: The Mystery of the Golden Piano *RR

Want to cool off in the library air conditioning while eating frozen treats and listening to stories? Then this read-aloud book club is for you! Join us as we read The World According to Humphreyby Betty G. Birney in this four week series. Each child will receive a complimentary copy of the book. We will meet on July 11, July 18, July 25 and August 1. Grades 1-4
Borrow one of the library’s lawn games for some backyard fun. We have bocce, croquet, horseshoes and ring toss.
