WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Adult Events

Tips for Resumes and Interviews *RR
Monday, July 9, 10 am
Artie Lynnworth, retired business executive and author of four books including Slice the Salam–Tips for Life and Leadership One Slice at a Time plus Tips for Résumés and Interviews, All in One Hour, will address how to ace an interview and create an effective resume. He will share a successful process for at-home preparation, including STAR communication techniques, with the goal of having you achieve the job you want.

Fiction Critique Group *RR
Monday, July 9, 7 pm
Love writing fiction? Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials before the meeting. Open to all experience levels writing in all genres. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.

How to Rumba! *RR
Tuesday, July 10, 7 pm
Attending a wedding and bringing your two left feet? Let the directors of Dance Fever Studios, Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov teach you the “dance of love” – the rumba! Learn how to shake those hips, keep a connection with your partner, and feel the music during this class. Dance Fever is the prime ballroom dance studio in the greater Boston area. Join us as we step, strut, and swing through summer – no partner required.

Featured book: Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
Location: Biltmore & Main (Reading, MA)
A social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. Librarians from the Wilmington and Reading Public Libraries host the book discussion.

Let’s Dance! We’ll do the hokey-pokey, the bunny hop, the chicken dance, and more! Ages 1-2

Drop-in Rock Band
Friday, June 29, 3 pm
It’s a battle of the (air) rock bands! Pick guitar, bass, or drums, and compete against your friends. Grades 4-8

Little Movers *RR
Monday, July 2, 10 am
Let’s move! Join us for a morning of singing, dancing, and moving around! Ages 1-2

Preschool Storytime: Musical Instruments
Tuesday, July 3, 10 am
This storytime on musical instruments for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, music and a fun craft. Parents and caregivers accompany the child and participate in the activities. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 3-5

Baby Times
Thursday, July 5, 9:30 am
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers.

Time for Twos
Thursday, July 5, 10:30 am
This fun program is for two year-olds and features books, songs, rhymes, music and movement. Parents and caregivers accompany the child into the story room and participate in the activities.

Fun of the 4th Family Day
Saturday, June 30, 9 am-12 pm.
Look for WML princesses at Family Day! Stop by their tent and make craft. Then visit the Book Store Next Door and have your picture taken with the Cat in the Hat. Don’t forget to buy some gently used books for your summer reading.
