ANDOVER, MA — Lifelong actor and musician René Bergeron, of Wilmington, is starring in “Noises Off!” in Andover from June 22 through June 30.
The production is a play-within-a-play following the onstage and backstage exploits of a company of actors appearing in a dreadful bedroom farce called “Nothing On” — complete with mistaken identities, infidelities, scantily clad ladies, slamming doors, and sardines. Onstage and offstage collide into one scandalously silly, fabulously funny nervous breakdown.
Bergeron will perform the roles of Belinda Blair and Flavia Brent. She is such a fan of “Noises Off!” that she is now in her third run of the show, having previously portrayed the roles of Belinda and Poppy with other local theatre companies.
Additional roles include Virtue in “Anything Goes,” Rose in “Bye Bye, Birdie,” Martha in “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” Wendy in “Peter Pan,” and Sister Mary Leo in “Nunsense,” among others.
Bergeron is also a film actor, having appeared in a number of independent projects including the award-winning short film “Namaste.”
When not on stage or on camera, she can also be found performing with local band Bed By Nine.
Spotlight Playhouse performs “Noises Off!” at the Pike School, 34 Sunset Rock Road, Andover.
