The Wilmington Insider For June 18, 2018

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Monday, June 18, 2018:

Happening Today:

Weather: A chance of showers, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 101. Southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

In The Community: The Wilmington Farmers Market Association is holding a “Dining For A Cause” Fundraiser at the 99 Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) from 4pm to 11pm. Bring this flyer and 15% of your bill will be donated to the Farmers Market.  Applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders.  (No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser.) At the restaurant, Farmers Market organizers will also be raffling off a gift basket that includes some goodies, products from its vendors, and gift certificates to local restaurants and farmers market vendors. Tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5.

In The Community: The Town Beach is open today.  Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 8pm. Admission is FREE for residents. Proof of residency is required. Learn more HERE.
