WILMINGTON, MA — Have you figured out what your child will do once school is out? The Wilmington Recreation Department has great options to kick off your summer!
The Skyhawks ‘Tiny Hawks’ program (age 3 & 4) introduces children to beginning basketball and soccer skills. This program will meet Mon. – Fri., 6/25 – 6/29, 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. Start their mornings off right with some exercise and fun! Cost is $52.
There are still limited openings in both Tiny Tots (age 4 & 5) as well as Kids Club (age 7 & 8) for Session I (6/26 – 7/13, no 7/4). The children will find that each day has a different featured activity, and each session includes a field trip! This program is held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Mondays – Fridays. Cost is $180 per session.
Top Secret Science is a popular program where children will explore up to 20 weird and wacky hands-on experiments about chemistry, light and sound, magnetism, astronomy and more. Plus, they will get to take up at least 10 different projects. This program is offered to children entering grades 1 – 5 and meets Mon. – Fri., 6/25 – 6/29 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Cost is $98.
The Morning Tennis Clinics taught by Skyhawks’ Sports Academy is also scheduled to run Mon. – Fri. 6/25 – 6/29. These clinics will teach the basic skills needed for the beginning tennis player. Ages 4 – 5 meet from 9 – 10 a.m.; ages 6 – 8 meet from 10 – 11 a.m.; ages 9 – 12 meet from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Cost is $60.
