POLICE LOG for May 22: Car Crashes Into Woods Off Highway; Officer Rescues Ducklings From Drain; Cat Left In Car; Needle Located

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, May 22, 2018:

  • State Police arrested a man on Route 125, near the North Reading line, for a warrant out of New Hampshire. (1:23am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to a cat left in a vehicle in the Planet Fitness parking lot. Owner said she slept in vehicle overnight and just went into the gym at 6am. (6:26am)
  • A caller reported a black sedan was taking up two parking spaces in the MBTA  North station parking lot.  Police issued a parking citation. (6:42am)
  • A caller reported a deceased deer on the side of Salem Street. Animal Control Officer had deer moved. (7:17am)
  • A hypodermic needle was found on the side of the roadway on Wildwood Street. Police located and retrieved for disposal. (8:36am)
  • A caller reported at least 2 baby ducks just fell down storm drain near Tremezzo on Lowell Street. Animal Control Office responded and rescued 7 baby ducks with the DPW’s assistance. Officer stayed in area, but could not locate mother duck. (9:00am)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported she believed someone attempted to break into her house sometime yesterday morning. Front door was broken, but access wasn’t gained. (9:46am)
  • A North Street resident reported a past B&E with items missing from residence. (6:52pm)
  • A car crashed into the woods around 93 North Exit 41. State Police requested assistance from Wilmington Police & Fire. One patient was heavily bleeding and transported to the hospital. (9:52pm)
