WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Fourth of July Committee has just released the schedule for the 2018 Wilmington Fun on the Fourth celebration.
The celebration will be held on and around the Wilmington Town Common from Friday June 29 to Monday, July 2.
The carnival will run from 5pm to 10pm on Friday; noon to 10pm on Saturday; 1pm to 8pm on Sunday; and 5pm to 10pm on Monday.
The spectacular fireworks display will take place on Monday, July 2 at 9:30pm.
In addition to the popular Food Court, Community Meals will be provided by the Rotary Club (Hamburger & Hot Dogs on Friday); Knights of Columbus (Pancakes, Waffles & Eggs Breakfast on Saturday); Wilmington Minutemen (Pancakes and Sausages on Sunday); and Acacia Lodge of Wilmington/Tewksbury Order of the Eastern Star (Spaghetti & Meatballs on Monday).
Concerts will be performed by Brandy!, Haywire, Four on the Flour, and the Reading Community Concert Band.
Longtime traditions — like the 3-on-3 basketball competition, horseshoes, road race, ladies 2-mile walk, hospital bed race, and blueberry pie eating contest — all return.
The Committee also released the schedule for the Wilmington Family Day on Saturday, June 30.
The Wilmington Fourth of July Committee will be releasing additional information regarding these events in the coming weeks.
