POLICE LOG for April 27: WHS Student Rides In Trunk Of Vehicle; Aggressive Poodle; Abandoned Vehicle; Needles Found

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 27, 2018:

  • A Shawsheen Avenue caller reported a loose poodle on Manning Street charged her and her dog while out walking this morning at 6:20am. The poodle bit her dog, but did not break the skin. Caller left message for Animal Control Officer. (6:53am)
  • A Dunkin Donuts employee located hypodermic needles on West Street. Police retrieved for disposal. (9:00am)
  • A walk-in party located a destroyed iPhone in the WHS student parking lot. (9:09am)
  • Napoleon Hamilton (50, Tuscaloosa, AL) was issued a summons for abandoning his vehicle. The White 2003 Ford Expedition had been parked next to the 93 Overpass on Concord Street for several days. Vehicle towed after numerous calls over several days. (1:25pm)
  • Animal Control Officer assisting MSPCA law enforcement checking on the condition of a pet pony. (1:33pm)
  • A caller reported a high school student got into a trunk and then the vehicle left the parking lot. School Resource Officer tracked down vehicle and had a conversation with the student about his behavior. Student promised it wouldn’t happen again. (1:46pm)
